The Polo Post header

I have created a new website called The Polo Post a website for the Canadian polo scene. The Polo Post is wide in scope providing a panoramic view of Polo in Canada. It will provide information on what’s happening and what’s happened in Canada, it will have your articles, submitted by players, horsemen, blacksmiths, Veterinarians, coaches, and clubs. I will encourage interaction with questions and answers and much more.

The Polo Post will tell our story of Polo in Canada, for this I am collecting the bios for all Canadian polo players so that we can really get to know each other. For many of you I already have great shots but feel free to include your own photo along with your bio.

An example of a Biography you might want to follow is that of Kit Collins which includes:-

  • Favorite horse
  • Food
  • Movie
  • Age
  • Coaches’
  • Favorite player
  • Time you have been riding
  • How long you have played polo.
  • How many ponies you own
  • Stable location
  • Place you grew up.
  • Day job

Club info will have:

  • Club Name
  • How and who to contact
  • Location and Map Quest Directions
  • Number of fields and facilities for visitors and spectators
  • Arena
  • Photos with explanations covering players, matches and items of general interest
  • General news of what’s happening in the area

The club section will have directions to local hotels and restaurants, club schedules. You can tell visiting clubs and players to check the Polo Post as a sort of one stop shop for all things about Canadian Polo. You will be able to access information in one place by checking club schedules and clubs news.

As you will see by visiting the web site I have many other sections that I will fill in the next few months, such as people that make a difference in your club with stories about these individuals, history of clubs and great horses to remember, never forgetting our great horses of today.

We all enjoy a meal after the game and I am including a section on cooking and serving dinners for large groups.

Recipes and how to prepare a wonderful finish to a great day’s polo.

The Polo Post is flexible and evolutionary I will include your interesting tidbits of news and other articles you want published. The Polo Post will grow over the years as we find out what we are interested in and as tastes change.

This will all take a great deal of my winter compiling information so please be patent and watch it grow.

General information about the mechanics of The Polo Post
